Ooey Gooey Cowl

I totally forgot to post earlier in the week that the store will be closed tomorrow - Wednesday September 3rd. I remembered to change the website and forgot to tell everyone here. The time off has been amazing for my mind and body and I’m taking a few more days. Lynn will be in the store on Thursday and Friday and I will be back on Saturday.

Andrea Mowry has a new pattern. You can purchase the pattern for the Ooey Gooey Cowl on Ravelry.

I love this style of cowl for colorwork, as it is perfect for when you don’t want to have to weave in lots of ends, and you always have the right side facing you! Plus, it happens to be one of my favorite accessories to wear thanks to its easy styling - just pop it on! I was craving the coziest cowl ever, so I reached for some Suri Alpaca, which I held double, and then paired it with a color- shifting yarn to make it extra dynamic

The cowl is knit with a Suri Alpaca and silk blend which is the same base as Emma’s Suri Silk. You can also use a mohair/silk blend like Rowan Kidsilk Haze or Biches Le Petit Silk and Mohair. The colourful yarn is Spincycle Dyed in the Wool. You could substitute Starke 6.

Not into fluff? You could use a sport weight instead like Emma’s So Sporty or Juniper Moon Patagonia.

Our Fantasy Football draft is tomorrow night so I need to do a bit of studying.
