A Twisted Affair

Joji has a new hat pattern and it’s free on Ravelry.

My knitting life is too generous with me, and I sometimes like to give a little back. I worked on this hat during a very special time of my life, and it’s full of feelings. I want to share the pattern with you, my readers. It is a heartfelt gift.

A Twisted Affair

Sometimes things get twisted… you do your best and hope for the right outcome and it still wraps around itself and makes a tangle…

I am pretty sure you can apply this truth to something today. Whatever that is, I hope this free hat pattern can help you unwind and get through your life’s twists.

This beanie is worked from the bottom up. It features a ribbed brim, and cables all over the body of the hat.

Someone on Ravelry knit the hat using 2 strands of Rowan Felted Tweed and the hat looks great.

Andrea Mowry has a new sock pattern that you can purchase on Ravelry.

These sweet little anklets are a breeze to whip up! The Oxbow socks are adorned with my favorite knit-purl stitch pattern for just a touch of texture. They are worked from the cuff down, using the Magic Loop method with a Heel Flap & Gusset. The pattern includes options for both Sport and Fingering weight yarn and multiple sizes!

Knitgraffiti (Lesley Anne Robinson) tagged me on Instagram about a new pattern that is coming out.

SNEAK PEEK!! Here’s another sneak peek at one of the Brioche Hexes I’m developing as a blanket pattern to be released on December 1!! The main blanket pattern will feature 3 motifs and the 24 mini skeins from @emmasyarn Smalliday set Practically Perfect Smalls and they created this set to be PERFECT for two-color brioche, I’m telling you!!!

While I was waiting for Mr. UPS to pick up boxes I put together a few new kits for Gnana’s Visit. I’ve marked it in the back of my mind to make sure we have lots of Gnome coloured minis in stock next November.
Hurry to Ravelry to get your pattern if you haven’t already. There is 50% off until tomorrow.

Our kits won’t be available until Thursday or Friday. UPS is messing around with some shipments coming through Jacksonville Florida - one from Emma’s and one from Malabrigo. I hope I got everything settled today and our boxes can start moving.

I really wanted to write yesterday but it was a long day. I have the house almost in order for pictures. I keep moving furniture around. Then I move it around again. Then it goes back to where it was until I think of a different configuration. I’m done now. Everything that came from dad’s house needed to be put away. And I couldn’t just throw things in the closets because people will be opening closet doors. I had to do it neatly. Then there is the small issue of my yarn stash. I’m trying to get it organized but for some reason it keeps growing ๐Ÿ˜˜. At 5:30 when Beth got home from work I went to the store to pack orders. I was home around 8pm, had some desert with dad and Beth and went to bed. I really hope this is the last time I move!!!
