Forsythian

Jennifer Steingass has a new pattern.

Forsythian is knit seamlessly and from the top down with options for short or long sleeves. A simple colorwork yoke design makes this pattern approachable and enjoyable. Inspired by my favorite time of the year, when all the trees are starting to sprout their leaves and the forsythias are in bloom - after long winters in Maine, it’s an exciting sign of Spring when these beautiful yellow flowers appear.

You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

The sweater is knit in sport weight so you have many options. Rowan Felted Tweed. Patagonia Organic Merino. Tosh Sport. Many people have used Spincycle Dyed in the Wool for the colourwork.

I will try and put together some combinations tomorrow while I’m in the store. The TV will be on while I’m doing it - it’s Masters weekend.

We have bad news and sort of good news about the Saddle Bags. FedEx has lost/misplaced our first box of bags. They are looking for them but I’m not confident. They arrived at their terminal in Memphis and no one can find them. Another set was sent by UPS yesterday. They were supposed to arrive this morning but UPS is requiring more paperwork. Della Q filed it this afternoon so hopefully the boxes will come on Monday. If you have a bag on order we hope to be sending them out on Tuesday. If you are picking up we hope to have it ready for Tuesday. Fingers crossed on all of this. I can’t wait to see the bag but I’m starting to dislike it and I haven’t seen it yet 😢 . I’ll be much happier when the boxes arrive and I can spread bag joy to everyone.

What a pretty sweater pattern! So often less is more as in this case. The simplicity is elegant.
