A Day of Knitting

I have been following Tif Neilan on Instagram for quite some time. I finally sent her an email to ask permission to share her pictures on the blog. This is her latest design and you can purchase the pattern for Variations Cowl No. 1 on Ravelry.

Variations Cowl No. 1 - A sport-weight cowl worked flat with unique shaping, finished with a three-needle bind-off. This design features an exposed seam, meant to be worn visibly at the right-front side.

This rhythmic design features textural stripes of Interrupted Garter stitch worked with two separate yarns in each section, encouraging color-play and exploration! The easy-to-remember stripe pattern is repeated from beginning to end, with color transitions recurring throughout. The shaping is divided into three distinct parts to create the unique finished shape.

The cowl is knit in sport weight yarn. A few yarn options are

• Spincycle Dyed in the Wool
• Starke 6 or Edition 3

It was a day of knitting.

I finished the 7.5” of ribbing on the collar and started into the cardigan. The short rows are finished and now I’m working back and forth. I am making my cardigan with the knit side facing.

Dad made muffins after dinner. He takes his job seriously! Beth is doing a puzzle.

I’m writing while the muffins are in the oven. The timer has gone off, the muffins are out and I’m going back to my knitting. Happy Sunday.
