A bit of a funny story. The wrap on the right is the one that I just finished. The one on the left is the one in the box from Ann. The same colours but in a different order. When I knit mine I didn't remember that these were the colours I sent to Ann. Obviously I really like them.
We are having a contest. What should I name this colour combination? I would like a garden/flowery name.
Please leave a comment on this post with your first name, last initial, province and your suggestion for the name for this colour combination.
Comments are moderated so they won't show up until I post them. They will be posted when the contest closes.
Enter as often as you would like.
The winner will be picked by The Needle Emporium and their decision is final.
The contest is open to residents of Canada.
The contest will close on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 9pm EST.
The person who submits the name that we choose will win a Color Play Mohair Wrap kit of their choice. It can be one of the four colours on our website or the colour you just named.
We will ship the winner their kit.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 31.
We look forward to seeing the names that you come up with. :)

Saskatchewan Sky. (Ok, it's not garden-y. I'll think some more...)
I suggest Monet's Garden!
Julie Ann H. from Ontario
Hmm, I like "Lunaria". (otherwise known as money plant/bush.) It grows different shades of purple flowers, but it's seeds are little discs of silvery white that reflect different colours from surrounding plants. so depending on the light, the seeds can look like different colours.

Leanne P from Ontario and my suggestion is Morning Waterlilies. I am reminded of Monet's waterlily studies. :)
Azalia Sky.
I see all the different colors of Azalias and the color of the sky, so Azalia Sky is my entry :)
Hi Julie,
When you suggested something garden or flower related I immediately though of two things . . . (1) famous English gardens such as, Kew, Chelsea, Chartwell, Chatsworth, Sissinghurst, Bateman's, Clovelly, Eden, Prior Park, The Secret Gardens of Sandwich and Walmer Castle Gardens (I've visited most of them) . . . . and (2) David Austin roses such as, Queen of Sweden, Harlow Carr, Gertrude Jekyll, Lady Emma Hamilton, Winchester Cathedral and Malvern Hills.
These names are not 'creative', but they may spark a memory or two with some knitters.
So, that is my contest entry.
Candice B.

i'm not sure if you got my other posts...I wasn't sure how to do it - My first suggestion was 'Stormy Weather or Stormy Weekend'... since you where away when we got hit by the storm!
Also, another suggestion was 'Sweet Caroline or Sweet Carolina' .... as this is when you where in your place in the Carolina's... and to Neil Diamond, who I'm sure would agree that the shawl looks so 'Sweet'!!! Catherine Kanak
Names that are historical for the wrap/colour...
'The Meadowlands'...or... 'The Ancaster Wrap'...or...'The Rousseaux Wrap'...or...'The Wilson Wrap'... that's all I've got now...Catherine Kanak
Just read Garden/Flower message, so...Hydrangea Dreams.
I tried to leave a comment on the blog but it wouldn't let me for some reason? I've chosen Azalea Sky, because the different shades of azaleas run through it with the blues. Azalea Sky is my entry.

This beautiful combination of colours reminds me of the Lilac Dell at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton. The deep pinks and purples of the lilac blooms, the green of the foliage and the blues of a cloudless sky are represented in colours selected. I would like to suggest "The Lilac Dell" as the name. Thanks
