Skylights

Lynn is enjoying some time at the cottage with her new project. She is knitting Tanis Lavallee’s Skylights Tee (pattern purchased on Ravelry) with Noro Silk Garden Sock in the colour S1. The yarn is slightly thicker than what Tanis is calling for but Lynn didn’t have a problem getting gauge. She commented that the pattern is well written and easy to follow. I like how the colours are coming out.
A classic raglan tee, but make it elegant. With a pretty eyelet detail at the shoulders and a statement panel down the front that features both lace and cables, this tee is anything but basic. I chose to knit mine to a slightly cropped length, a style that I find I’m reaching for more and more these days. Knit in my favourite fingering weight yarn, this tee is my new summer staple.
The Douglas Cardi is a very popular pattern from Andrea Mowry. Lynn is wearing the 3rd size knit in Cascade 220 Heathers. We received some new fall colours so I made a few combinations using those. The kits are available online and in the store.

Mr. UPS brought a huge box of Dream State including Dark Side and Levitate. Unfortunately he didn’t arrive until almost 3pm and I had to leave to run errands for my dad. I quickly opened the boxes but didn’t have time to pick out skeins to take home with me 😂
It’s time for me to run out and grab dinner. Dad is requesting Swiss Chalet.
