Home Again

I want to start my post thanking Beth for looking after dad, the dogs and the house. Dad delivered all our boxes to UPS while I was away so everyone got their purchases in a timely manner. A huge shout out to Lynn for looking after the store. She did a great job while I was away. And Alex for coming in on Friday. Lynn was swamped and having an extra hand was amazing.
I was able to get a bit of knitting done on the plane yesterday afternoon. The colours are looking great. I’m happy to be home to see dad, Beth and the dogs but I miss someone cleaning my room and cooking my food. It’s 3 weeks today that dad and I fly to Calgary.
Lynn’s sweater is blocked. She’s coming in on Wednesday and I’ll get pictures of her wearing it. I can’t wait to see it and feel the yarn.
I was in the store for most of the day shipping boxes and waiting for Mr. UPS. We received a shipment from Spincycle that included 3 new colours of Dyed in the Wool. This is Hot Minute.

We also received a restock of Dream State and Plump.
A box came from Emma’s last week. We have two more Theme Packs along with a restock of Practically Perfect Sock, Suri Silk and So Sporty.
The April Crazy Beautiful Colour was in the box but I can’t share that with you until Wednesday.

Here is the link to join the KAL.

The kits will be available on our website at midnight. You don’t need to set your alarm - we have lots of kits and lots of extra stock. The Sampler is knit in Rowan Felted Tweed.

Now a bit of knitting before bed.

Last Night

Today we were at CocoCay. What a great day!!!

I was in my deck chair by 8:30 this morning and stayed until 3 this afternoon. The pool was awesome and I enjoyed some time reading.

There hasn’t been much knitting the past few days. Tonight I finally divided for my sleeves. I’m set for my plane ride tomorrow. I thought that I would accomplish more while I was away but….

I’m sitting on my balcony to write. I have spent a lot of time out here this past week.

Now I need to pack my suitcase and get it out in the hall before heading out for one last walk around the ship.

In the middle of the ocean

I had a great day but didn’t do much. Knitting (tomorrow I hope to divide for the sleeves), eating (way too much of that), napping, walking around and a bit of time in the casino.

I was knitting in Central Park this afternoon. Lots of people stopped to comment.

I woke up to rain.
There are great areas on the ship for kids.

It’s faint but I could see a rainbow from my balcony this afternoon.

Tomorrow we are in Aruba. We dock at 8am and don’t leave port until 10pm. My plan is breakfast and then a cab to a popular beach area. There are hotels, restaurants and lots of shopping. I don’t know if there will be a post tomorrow so I’m going to give you a heads up. Andrea Mowry has a new pattern dropping. From what I could guess from her post on Instagram the sweater is knit with a strand of fingering weight and a strand of laceweight mohair/silk.

Have a good evening. I’m heading back out. There is a comedy show and a few other shows happening. The list of daily activities is long.

We’re on our way

Lynn’s sweater is growing and it looks great. She should have it finished by the time I get home.
I was able to get quite a bit done on my sweater. The last increases have been working. After the next pattern repeat (the flowers) I will be dividing for the sleeves.
I’ll get better pictures tomorrow in the sun light.
Central Park. I’m on a ship I haven’t been on before. I’ve been on sister ships so there are a lot of similarities.

I’m sitting on my balcony while I’m writing. The weather is beautiful - sorry. Now time for dinner. Then more exploring. I like to see every inch of the ship.

Happy Camp #2

Here is Happy Camp #2. No I didn’t sew the ends in on #1 today. I was having too much fun knitting. I’ll do it over the next few days.
I was tired when I got home last night. It was a busy day in the store. Thank you to everyone who visited. I also spent time moving around garments. I’m trying to make sure every garment has an information sign. My printer is tired. Price signs should be on everything. There are going to be kits for many of the finished garments.

Tomorrow morning I’ll be in the store packing orders and delivering them to the UPS store and Canada Post. Then I have a few errands to run to make sure I’m ready to go away. When I get home I have orders to place. We’re short of knitting needles again.

Beth made dinner so I’m in charge of desert. We’re having Dairy Queen tonight. Then a bit of knitting before bed.
