I cast off my Inclinations Shawl this morning. I like how the colours ended up blending. Now for the blocking and then better pictures.

A little ‘sweater’ for your teapot keeps the water hotter while you brew and while you sip. The pretty ruffled version was designed for our LYS Tour several years ago while the plain fellow is a perennial favorite. Choose a traditional tweed or a modern self-striping yarn in a color that won’t show the drips. What a thoughtful gift.
Besides being darn cute, a tea cozy is a very practical item. It’ll insulate your teapot so your water stays at the optimum steeping temperature longer. Then it’ll keep your brew warm ’til you’re ready for the next cup.
Also included is the ‘How to Brew a Decent Cup of Tea’ tutorial. If you follow a few guidelines, you can easily serve up a satisfying cuppa, time after time.
The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. Think Cascade 220, Malabrigo Rios or Noro Kureyon. Samples on Ravelry were also knit with DK or sportweight yarn including Rowan Felted Tweed and Hedgehog Fibres Merino DK.
I had dinner on my way home from work then had a nap. Beth woke me up by mistake or I’d still be in bed. I’m up for a few and then back to sleep. It was cozy in my bed.
We are hoping to do an outdoor sale on Saturday June 20th. This is weather permitting.

Lynn knit the 3rd size. She did a great job - the sweater is beautiful.
Inspired by nature’s landscapes, the varying shades of Felted Tweed Colour are truly captivating to knit and crochet. From subtle moorland russets and browns, to vibrant sunset pinks and fresh, grassy greens, the tweedy hues gradually evolve along the fibres at a gentle and unhurried pace. A stunning fair isle effect is created by simply working with two shades, while the perfect combination of 50% lightly-felted wool, 25% viscose and 25% alpaca makes this yarn equally ideal for delicate lace and sumptuous cables.
Petite Knits has a new pattern that you can purchase on Ravelry.
The Bea Top is worked from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch, and the work is then divided into the front and back yoke which are each worked separately back and forth in stockinette stitch with decreases along both sides. The top is shaped at the top of the yoke by means of short rows to create the boatneck.
Knit a swatch to determine which needle size gives you the correct gauge. Make sure to wash your swatch before taking the gauge measurements, as the recommended yarns might grow with wash and wear. Note that the size of the top will increase by a couple of cm an inch or so with wear after wash and blocking – keep this in mind when choosing which size to knit.
