The sleeve is finished and now I’m working on the back. The pattern calls for a small cap sleeve but I like my sleeves longer so I added rows. As I was going I kept checking my sewing room and finding more colours to add. And I have the colours from my left over shawl. There is only enough for one or two stripes of each colour so I didn’t want to add them too early. It looks a little hodge podge right now but as I get more rows finished I think the colours will look great!
The edge stitches are actually the top of the sleeve and then the top of the body. When finished they are sewn together with the mattress stitch. I want my front and back stripes to match at the shoulders so I’m going to start working the front and back at the same time.
I was in the store yesterday packing lots of boxes (thank you to everyone who ordered over the weekend) and then went home to continue cleaning up after Thanksgiving. There was still lots to hand wash and put away - I need to stop using good serving dishes and find some that can go in the dishwasher 😜. Instead of writing I knit. I’m kind of obsessed with the new sweater. I was also a little tired from being up until midnight the night before watching football and baseball. Dad blamed us for keeping him up late and we blamed him.
Don’t forget that tomorrow is Dream State day. Everything is set to go live at midnight tonight.
I hit publish on my post and then Ms. Canada Post came in with a big box of Dreamz and Zing interchangeable needle sets. These will be online this afternoon.
