Blocking

We have new Blocking Wires coming tomorrow. I just checked the FedEx tracking and I think I should say that they are arriving on Monday.

What helps you finish your project like a professional? Blocking. And that is a task made much easier with these fantastic flexible blocking wires.

Walcot Wires by Walcot Yarns are a flexible, no kink wire that you can bend around any shape you need. Perfect for crescent shaped shawls, picot edges and getting your sweater pieces to have nice neat edges to sew up, blocking wires are a game changer.

Walcot Wires Blocking Tool is made from rust-free, flexible memory wire. Each set contains 3 x 100cm wires and 4 x 175cm wires along with 30 stainless steel t-pins for blocking countless combinations of knits. These modern blocking wires coil up neatly in a zippered pouch when not in use making storage easy.

This product contains nickel.

We had a restock of Cascade 220 Heathers today. I put together a few more kits for the Douglas Cardi.
Take a look at the purple in this kit. It is awesome. I’m not sure why we haven’t had this colour in stock before now.
This picture shows the colours better. The first was taken inside and the second outside. Small problem with the outside picture - I used the wrong grey. Now that I’m looking at it I’m going to add this one to the website as well. Then knitters will have a choice.

Lynn is working away on her cardigan and is going to bring it in tomorrow for pictures.

I put together some more kits for Joji’s Frank Shawl.

The main colour is the same as Joji’s - we just changed the contrast.

The individual colours are available on the website if you want to pick a different contrast.
Freia Fibers posted these pictures on Instagram.

Oscilla - New Pattern and kits coming very soon - here’s a preview of some of our favorite kit combos. This is a great project worked with six Freia Minikins in coordinating, but contrasting, colors. A soothing slip stitch pattern feels like gentle waves as you’re knitting this rhythmic repeat, hence the name “Oscilla”. Each sample shown here in six Minikin combos, optionally pick just two colors to show the full unbroken gradient. Pictures of the two color versions coming soon

I’ll post more as soon as the pattern is available.

I love Minikins. So much colour in a little ball.
Someone needed a shower after work. The grass was cut at work yesterday and Boscoe’s paws were an awful shade of green after running outside many times today.
