Highland

I'm excited about a new yarn that is on the way to us. The yarn should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Meet Harrisville Highland.
Highland is one of our flagship yarns, available in 64 tweedy, heathered, woolen spun colors. This yarn is perfect for a cozy New England sweater, or a favorite pair of mitts. The yarn was engineered to wear better and better with every wash. Don’t let the crunch fool you. After 10 years of constant wear, you’ll know why we spun it this way.
Worsted Weight
100% Virgin Wool.
Approx. 200 yards per 100 gram skein (3.5 oz.)
Needle Size: 5-7 US; 4.5 st. per inch (18 sts = 4 inches)
Here are the colours in our order. I will be ordering more very soon but I wanted to see how the shipping from Harrisville works.

After I ordered the yarn I told Lynn and she was very excited. She has a cardigan in Highland.
This is Lynn's Timber Cardigan (pattern purchased on Ravelry)
This might just be your new favourite everyday cardigan - it’s warm, cozy and versatile. Knitted from the top down, with an easy raglan shaping. Timber is a relaxing knit featuring simple but effective design details. This casual cardigan - designed to be worn open - features twisted ribbing, stand up or lay flat collar, slimming lines, and handy pockets, for a sweater that’s as functional as it is beautiful, whether you’re at the coffee shop or in the woodshed.
I've already thought about the cardigan I'm going to make. More on that when the yarn arrives and I see the colours in person.

Linda sent an email this morning.
I want to share my cowl that I finished last week. I also was unsure that I liked it while in the midst of knitting, but love it now.

We are still waiting on the arrival of the book. I received an email from my supplier yesterday
Severe weather and other conditions beyond our control can occasionally delay postal services.
The first shipment of Laine's book 52 Weeks of Socks is expected to arrive in Canada in the next couple of days. All pre-orders will ship as soon as they get to us.

I received an email from Hedgehog Fibres that they are sending something for the Food Drive gift basket. What? I don't know. It'll be a surprise when we open their box.

Lucy's surgery went well today. Beth just talked with the clinic and she is doing good. Dad and Beth are picking her up in the morning.
