BOR

Enamel Pins from Twill & Print arrived today.

We also received Progress Keepers.
It took me a few minutes to figure out BOR - beginning of round.

The Atenti Turquoise Poppies Grand Tote- Colorful poppies bloom on this velvety plush fabric. At 16" tall and the same size as the Excel Tote, the Grand Tote is Atenti's largest bag. It’s big and practical with two outside pockets on the sides, a full length opening, magnetic closure and double 26” ultra suede shoulder straps. It is fully lined in our water resistant taffeta with a zippered pocket and a divided pocket with a cell phone slot.
Spring might be here. It isn't warm but the sun is shining and we can see green popping up in the garden. These bags from Atenti scream spring to me.
The Atenti Turquoise Poppies Grand Pouch - Colorful poppies bloom on this velvety plush fabric. A large, fully lined zipper pouch with a wrist loop. 13"w x 9" h x 1" d.
My Hipster is growing.
Rowan Softyak DK is very nice to knit with. The cotton/yak blend is super soft. I think know I want a sweater in it
Dad and Lucy came by the store today to pick up our cardboard boxes. We had quite a pile. Lucy doesn't love this truck - no back seat.

Non Troppo

Cathy knit Non Troppo (pattern purchased on Ravelry) and it is a beautiful scarf.
non troppo is a dream of cloudy lightness and funky elegance, inspired by ma non troppo, a recent Ziggurat pullover I knitted for my mum.
This perfect wrap for coolish summer evenings is knitted on the bias, generous, asymmetrical, striped – and has both textural playfulness and flair.
Choose somber or wild colours as you please and settle into some soothingly simple knitting.
non troppo just could be the perfect commuter or read-while-you’re-knitting knit – nothing complicated is going on (and goes on for quite a while).
Cathy used one ball of Freia Ombre Merino Lace (Aura) and three balls of Rowan Kidsilk Haze (632).

I had fun putting together some different colour combinations.

I'm having fun playing on the new website. One area we are still tweaking is the discount codes and making sure that they are working properly. The only way to do that is to offer you a discount.

15% off if you purchase 4 balls of Freia Merino Ombre Lace and/or Kidsilk Haze. Any combination of 4 balls gets you the discount.

The discount is valid until 8pm EST, Tuesday March 26, 2019.
I had breakfast with dad this morning. Lucy was happy to be home on her couch.
She was a little confused when she got to our house. Her friend Roko was missing. After some searching she made herself comfortable. Her two favourite spots. Between the kitchen and living room and beside the kitchen table.
She didn't get any smaller!

New Cotton

We added new yarns to the website today. Pretty yarns for spring and summer. Meet Sun Kissed Speckled from Ella Rae. It is 100% cotton and has 240m on a 100gram ball.
This is Ella Rae's Denim DK. There are 200m on a 100gram ball. It is also 100% cotton.

A young lady was looking through the Churchmouse patterns and I remembered the Sleeveless Slipover. It is perfect for our new yarn.

We have the pattern in the store or you can purchase it on Ravelry.
This style is so versatile, we all wanted different lengths. So here you have it—cropped, hip, tunic, and dress lengths. Or any length you’d like! It’s quite simple to customize your Slipover—for your personal style or body type, as a long layer with side vents, or as a short topper over a tee, to be dressed up or down.

Here is a link to more Denim DK patterns that are available on Ravelry. Both yarns will knit to a true DK tension so there are many, many, many patterns that you can use.

Another pattern that would work for both yarns is the Hipster Shawl.

Speaking of the Hipster. I cast another one on tonight using Rowan's Softyak DK. I'm using colour 247 - Shell. I am flying to Chicago in two weeks to meet with other Rowan stockists. I think I can finish the shawl in time. The yarn is nice to work with. The Cotton/Yak blend feels really good on your hands.

Dad and Lucy made it home safely. I think that dad might have been exceeding the speed limit - he made the trip in great time.

I tried to pick bright, dark, subtle and semi solids. Something for everyone.

There was a bit of knitting tonight. The stocking stitch is nice because you don't have to think but I am becoming a bit bored by it. I like colour. I must finish this before starting something new!! 😘
The new season of Billions started on Sunday night. Beth and I watched this evening. Then some basketball and now it's time for bed.
Beth is enjoying her Issa Cowl. The pattern will start jumping out soon - she will be knitting with a solid navy against an almost solid rust. Once she gets through that section it will make the whole pattern stand out. It is slip stitches - you are only knitting with one colour per row. It is an easy, relaxing pattern.

Dad and Lucy are packed and will be driving home tomorrow. They have sandwiches, treats and water. Lucy will lay in the front seat with dad for a while and then she'll stand up, go over the console and lay down in the back seat. They have set stops - the same rest stations going to Myrtle Beach and coming home. Oh yeah, the same Dairy Queen as well.

It was hard working today. March Madness has started. I was busy flipping between basketball games. Alex and I had a little basketball lesson. She did not grow up in a household that follows sports. She does know that there is a ball and a basket and that you can use your hands.

While I was teaching her about basketball, Alex made up some kits for The Shift.

We did not watch Survivor last night. I didn't realize it was 2 hours. We'll watch it tonight. I'm going to make Beth be in charge of the converter so that I can knit.
