Skylights

Tanis Lavallee released a new pattern today. The sweater is gorgeous. Meet Skylights.

Can a sweater be light and drapey while at the same time being cozy and chunky? I think this sweater design proves that the answer to that question is a resounding YES! I really went for it with the design details, combining lace, cables, nupps, a wide neckline, an oversized fit and of course those statement puff sleeves! Knit at a loose gauge to create flattering drape, this sweater practically knits itself. You’ll be wearing your new favourite sweater before you know it!

Hurry to Ravelry to get the pattern.
I have a sale running until the end of the day on Friday (October 16), code THANKS for 20% off

Tanis knit the sweater out of a discontinued colour of Noro along with a skein of silk/mohair. I put together some combinations of Noro Akari and Le Petit Silk & Mohair. For the smallest size (finished 45”) you need 2 Akari and 4 Le Petit Silk & Mohair. With one extra ball of Le Petit Silk & Mohair you can knit the second size (finished 52.5”).

Tanis is wearing the first size with 13” positive ease.
Akari 13 with light grey and off white.

Akari 1 with dark blue and light grey. I forgot to do a picture with off white but I think you can picture it.

Akari 5 with off white.

You can use any worsted weight yarn with the kidsilk.

Ms. UPS brought in a big box of Malabrigo Rios today. Rios plus a handdyed colour of kidsilk would look great for Skylights.

Now some knitting!
