It is Wednesday night and we are back at our hotel after seeing Viva Elvis. Beth is down in the casino and I came upstairs to relax.
We have been to many Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas and rave about them. The first show we saw was before Treasure Island was built. It was 1993 and the show was called Nouvelle Experience. It was put on in a tent in the parking lot at the Mirage. We were hooked. Then came Mystere at Treasure Island. We have seen it 5 times taking many friends with us. O was our next show and we have been twice including the week it opened. When Love came out we weren't too sure but have seen it twice and would recommend it to anyone.
Then came Viva Elvis. DON'T GO!! Seriously disappointing!! There were really only three Cirque acts and the rest was closer to a broadway show. The theatre was less than half full which tells you that it isn't getting good reviews. It is hard to believe that Cirque du Soliel would want their name on the show. I could go on and on but please take my word and don't see the show. We could have seen Mystere and Love again for the price of our tickets. Spend your money wisely and go see something else.
Rant over.
You know I can't do a post without pictures. Here are some from inside the Mirage and a few from the Volcano that erupts at night in front of the hotel.

How disappointing for you. I hope other aspects of your trip make up for it.
