New Patterns

Stephen West has a new shawl pattern.

Gather five shades of lace weight mohair silk to knit this cloudy triangular shawl. The fading marl technique blends the colors together as you work garter stitch with slip stitches. Two strands of yarn are always held together for a deliciously frothy fabric. You can customize the size by knitting more pattern repeats for a big shlanket or simply bind off early for a smaller shawl. I-cord edges frame this classic shawl shape.

There will be new colours of Le Petit Silk & Mohair coming from Biches & Buches next week including Dark Blue Black which is one of my favourite colours in Le Petit Lambswool.

Caitlin Hunter (Boyland Knitworks) has a new pattern as well.

The Easy V sweater is knit top down in the round and features a subtle V shaped neckline which transitions to a round colorwork yoke design. The colorwork is easy to work with short repeats and only 2 colors per row, making the knitting fun and relaxing while letting your color choices stand out as the star of this sweater.

This sweater is designed to have a relaxed, easy fit- perfect for everyday wear.

Short rows are worked after the yoke chart for a comfortable fit, and instructions are included for adjusting the body length as preferred. The sleeves feature colorwork which can be omitted if preferred.

I used Elder from Ritual Dyes in Clay for my main color and Spincycle Dream State in Stay Ready, Wololo and Castaway for the colorwork. This design would also look lovely with solid colors for the colorwork design- the pattern includes a coloring sheet so you can create your own masterpiece!

When I posted pictures of Jackson last night I should have added this one.

He loves to sleep with his tongue hanging out like this.

We had some wrestling on the bed this afternoon. 

Getting downstairs was tough. Jackson wouldn’t budge. He is stubborn like Lucy and if he doesn’t want to move you aren’t going to move him.
