Le Lambswool

We have a new yarn coming from Biches & Buches and it should arrive next Wednesday.

Biches & Bûches Le Lambswool is a pure lambswool from a family-owned fiber mill in Scotland. The wool is rustic and soft at the same time.

The strands of LE LAMBSWOOL are soft and spongy in a beautiful quality, presented in a way that feels like home.

This is a thicker version of Le Petit Lambswool and will retail for $18.95 a ball.

Biches & Bûches Le Lambswool comes in yarn balls of 50g - 170 meters / 185 yards – (light) worsted weight.

19-21 sts and 24-26 rows to 10 cm/4”

We like to use needle sizes 4.0mm/US6/UK8 - 4.5mm/US7/UK7 for working Le Lambswool.

These are the colours coming in our first order - the website is ready for the yarn to arrive.

I bought a few bags for myself in our last order and I have started swatching. I am using 4.5mm needles and the gauge is 18 stitches = 4”.

The yarn is nice to knit with. I think it will be a great option for Elah from Isabell Kraemer (pattern purchased on Ravelry)

Seve is worked seamlessly from the top down. Both the front and the back are worked in Stockinette stitch with a slip stitch pattern in the center. There is no difference in shaping with this sweater which means that you can wear the wide pattern panel either way. Knitting starts with the cast on of the upper back (shoulders and neck). Once the short row shaped shoulder slope is done, the back is worked flat to underarm. To work the front to the same length, the shoulder stitches are picked up from the cast on edge of the back and the front neck is cast on. At underarm both front and back are joined to work the body top down in rounds to the bottom hem (optional split hem instructions are given). For the long sleeve version, stitches are then picked up around the arm openings to work them top down in rounds. No finishing required.

Seve is a great sweater (or vest) by Isabell Kraemer that would also look great in Le Lambswool. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

This is the sweater for me. If I spill down the front of me (which happens regularly) then I can turn the sweater around.

Jackson went for a bath this afternoon.

He is very fluffy and smells really good. His bath and brush out cost more than the haircut I had today.😂
