New from Norah Gaughan

Dolomite is a new pattern from Norah Gaughan.

Experimenting with different ways to construct a seamless sweater from the top down, Norah knit this dolman sleeve, V-neck pullover beginning with a ribbed shoulder band which extends from the neck to the top of the deep sleeve cuff. Decorative garter details on the shoulder piece make picking up for the back and fronts very easy, marking a space to pick up 3 stitches each time. The worksheet / formula aspect of the pattern allows knitters to customize the sleeve length and depth of the V-neck to suit their personal style. After working the back and fronts down from the shoulder, the underarms are joined with a three needle bind off and the remainder is worked in the round. A delicate cable and rib panel adorns the center front, expanding out from the base of the neck.

You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

The sweater is knit in fingering weight yarn.

My boxes from Biches & Buches still haven’t arrived. One box is sitting in Mississauga and the second box is in Texas. Yes, Texas. Not sure how it is going from France to Ontario and it ends up in Fort Worth, Texas. FedEx drives me crazy!!!!

The painters were here early today. As I was leaving for work they were having a coffee break.

The basement bathroom is almost finished. The main room downstairs is finished but it is a big room painted in a beige so there isn’t much to show. Dad and Beth are heading to the cottage tomorrow. They are going to paint dad’s room while they are away. I picked a lighter blue than the bathroom. I’m worried it might be too light but Beth keeps reminding me that we can have walls repainted if we don’t like them.

Baseball and hockey are on. It’s time to knit and have a cup of tea.

I hit publish and forgot something. Atenti Bags are on the way.
