Spin Lines

Susan Ashcroft has a new shawl pattern called Spin Lines that you can purchase on Ravelry.

Fun to knit stitch - no wrapping and turning

Allow
approx 300m/330 yds of handspun or similar
Approx 600m/660 yds of solid main colour

Listed as sport, but you could use dK or worsted for the main colour as well

The 2 yarn weights should be similar but don’t need to be identical - e.g sport and DK, or sport and fingering

Size is adjustable to suit your taste or available yarn.

Written pattern (no charts)

A few knitters used Dyed in the Wool for their test knit and one knitter used Edition 3. I think that Starke 6 would be another great option. If you want a bit heavier shawl then Malabrigo Rios or Washted would be a great choice.

This afternoon I took dad to therapy and while he was in his session I dropped off boxes of clothes to Good Shepherd. There is a purge happening at my house. I have so many clothes that I don’t wear or are the wrong size so it’s time for someone to wear them. While I was there I asked the young lady who was helping me if they take yarn. They have people who knit afghans and would appreciate yarn. She asked that it is full balls. I have lots of yarn upstairs that I will be boxing up for dad’s appointment next week. The Good Shepherd and I are going to become good friends.
