City Series

Spincycle has introduced new colourways on their Dyed in the Wool Base.

You can expect a little of that dyed-in-the-wool, slow color change effect in our City Series, but rather than various colors sunsetting from one to another, you will see a shifting of tone and intensity within one color. Use one alone, stripe a few, or use as a contrasting background to some of our more dynamic Dyed In The Wool colorways! We promise you'll have fun!

Our shipment arrived this afternoon and is available online and in the store.

I didn’t have time to take the colours outside for pictures but here are a few in the bag. Reykjavik.

Havana

The blue is called Nicoya and is amazing. I want to use it as the main colour for a Tessellated Vest. This could be my plane knitting when I go to Vegas in a few weeks.

Nicoya with Ghost Ranch and Briar Rose Suri Silk

Scranton (another new solid) with Purse First and Lilac You A Lot Suri Silk. Another option is a bright pink Suri Silk which will be coming at the end of the month.
 

There was a box from Rowan this morning and we are restocked on Rowan Magazine 74 plus a few yarns that we were missing.

More kits are online and in the store for Butterfly. This is the shawl that everyone comments on when they are in the store.

Our sample colour. We used SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock with Crazy Zauberball. More Tough Love Sock should be here next week. Right now I only have one kit for our sample but next week we’ll have lots.

Jackson is sad. It’s Friday afternoon and he isn’t at the cottage.

Chris, Tara and the kids are there for the weekend. The grout in the shower is done and the door is on. I’m not sure if Chris is adding the fixtures or if we have to wait a couple of weeks for the plumber to finish.

I started the grafting on my Alpine Bloom. It’s not a quick process but it looks great.
