Banana Bread helper

The Bookish Cardi (pattern purchased on Ravelry) has been hanging in the store for a year now. It gets the most attention of any of the garments we have. We knit the cardigan in The Fibre Co Arranmore Light - the colour is Liadan. Deidre knit the sample for us and added 2” in length.

The Bookish Cardi is a statement layering sweater. It features some of my favorite stitches and techniques: twisted stitches, crochet bobbles, and buttonholes which makes for an addictive knit that you won’t be able to put down! The cropped length, front button closure, and easy drop shoulder style make this the ultimate layering piece to mix and match with your wardrobe.

I’ve been trying to write a newsletter and I’m glad I was slow with it. There is a Della Q order on the way but some of the new bags and colours aren’t in the boxes. The new Mesh Tote won’t be here until the middle of June. Same for the Knit Tote in Orange and Purple. Anything that is in the order is marked as preorder on the website. FedEx says that the boxes are coming on Friday but I think it will be next week. 

Tonight was banana bread night. You can see a little head peeking out from under dad’s arm.

We make two sets in cupcake tins and two loaves. Dad is driving to Peterborough twice a week for work so the cupcakes make it easier to eat.
