Left Front

I picked up Elah again last night and got started on the left front. For some reason I have been looking at the yarn but couldn’t bring myself to start.

The provisional cast on and short rows were the problem and what a silly problem. Neither are hard and now that they are finished I’m ready to go. Isabell uses German Short Rows and they are not difficult. If you follow the directions they look great and you can’t tell where the short rows are.

Ambah O’Brien has a new pattern.
Fruit Tingles are fizzy lollies in a variety of delicious fruit flavours - lime, orange, raspberry and lemon - that give your taste buds a tingle. An Australian confectionary dating back nearly 100 years ago, I was reminded of these childhood sweets when creating this shawl, hence the name attributed to it. Knit up a treat featuring your favourite flavours represented by colours. Fruit Tingles Shawl combines relaxing garter rows interspersed by a fizz of colour which is perfect for using up some of your delicious leftovers or for playing with a gradient yarn.

Boscoe and Jackson were helping Lucy eat breakfast this morning. If any falls over the edge it is free game for them. Sometimes Boscoe forgets and reaches into the bowl. Lucy just lies there and lets them grab her food.

We are going to watch the first episode of Race Against the Tide and I’m going to knit.
Sand sculptor teams Race Against the Tide to complete their works of art. As the Bay of Fundy tide comes in, judges decide the winning team moments before everything is washed away!
I’m going to try to knit. Watching them build the sculptures is amazing!
