A sister to Kidsilk Haze, Kidsilk Haze Colour shows off the blend of super kid mohair and silk in a beautiful variant effect, creating a yarn which subtly changes from soft hues to saturated colours.
Churchmouse Yarns knit Alexandra's Airplane Scarf with 2 balls of Kidsilk Haze Colour. They used colour 2 - Brook.
When Boston-based author and long-time Chuchmouse friend, Alexandra Dane attended a writing retreat in Seattle, she stopped by the shop wearing a scarf that turned our heads. It was just the kind of thing we love—simple, simple, simple! Just a sheer tube pressed flat, we’ve knit it again and again.
In Rowan Kidsilk Haze Colour, Alexandra’s Airplane Scarf gains delightful, watercolor-like shading. This lovely yarn has the same fiber blend (mohair and silk) and weight (a light-as-air lace-weight) as beloved Kidsilk Haze. It’s the soft, diffuse color palette from designer Lisa Richardson that sets it apart!
Purchase the pattern from Churchmouse Yarns. We might have a few printed copies of the pattern in the store but I won't know that until tomorrow.
For this new version, designer Lisa Richardson created eight colors that gradually move from pale to just a little more saturated like gentle, watercolor washes of the soft, diffuse glow of the evening sun, the dappled hues of oceans and rivers, and the dancing light of garden flowers.
I am working from home today. A newsletter went out this morning and now it's time to work on the website. The new colours of Rowan and then the new colours of Hedgehog. The Hedgehog should be arriving tomorrow. 15 brand new colours.
Sweet Pea - cute and pink with lots of delicate speckles.
Shape Shifter - kaleidoscope of ever changing layers of colour
Bandit - light green undertones with all the speckles we could fit!
If there is time I will get the Camp Brochure on the Camp Blog. Registrations open on March 7th.
Dad sharing his lunch with the dogs. The office is like a zoo. There is one more dog but he is upstairs. Lucy and him don't get along.
Is your Dad running a doggy daycare on the side, LOL?
