If all goes according to plan

Andrea Mowry has a new pattern.

I absolutely adore my original Harlow hat, but I wanted something that was a bit quicker to knit for the holiday season! This is the pattern I know I can depend on for stash busting, wardrobe enhancing, or a quick gift for someone I love! Ideal for beginner brioche enthusiasts, this hat is knit from the bottom up in two color brioche and is totally reversible! The crown shaping utilizes a different decrease then the original Harlow, so if you try both you will be well on your way to a brioche pro! There are lots of brioche video tutorials linked in the pattern (and below) to help you on your way!

You can purchase the pattern on Andrea’s website.

Andrea used worsted weight yarn for the hat. We have many, many options.

I rephotographed the colours for Norwood today. These pictures look better.

This is a new combination. The pink is called Soft Pink Grey and it is brand new from Biches & Buches.

I used the same combinations and added kits for Newleaf. View all the Norwood and Newleaf kits

If all goes according to plan we will have the latest Laine magazine for sale on Friday. I will put it up online tomorrow.
In issue 13, we showcase gender-neutral designs that work as the foundation for any wardrobe. The 11 designs featured in our winter collection are classic and long-lasting; ones that could be borrowed from your spouse’s, friend’s or parent’s closet.

If all goes according to plan we will have Interpretations 8 in stock tomorrow - probably later in the afternoon.

We are incredibly excited to publish the collaborative design series Interpretations by none other than Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki!

This series follows the journey of two friends from opposite sides of the world combining their love of their countries (Argentina and Finland) and beautiful knitwear. Volume 1 marked the beginning of an entirely new approach to designing, and their dream project has evolved to bring your their 8th volume.

Each volume includes six themes: six words with two designs inspired by each word, showing a personal take on each of these themes. The 6 words Joji and Veera have chosen for their new collection are Challenge, Patience, Anticipation, Pace, Compassion and Emphasis! These lovely books are destined to become collector's items, not to mention beautiful resources of patterns that you’re going to want to come back to time and again.

Following on from Volume 7, this year is the second time that the two designers couldn’t be together to shoot the pattern photography for Interpretations. Due to travel restrictions, Joji and Veera shot their photos in their respective homelands of Argentina and Finland. Nevertheless, we think this volume is just as cohesive as its predecessors, and reflects the hard work Joji and Veera put into making Volume 8 during a global pandemic!

Volume 8 features 12 garment and accessory knitting patterns from a variety of yarn producers including:

Aatos by Aara // De Rerum Natura  // Madelinetosh // Sweet Fiber // Olann // Chile Knits // Suburban Stitcher // mYak // La Bien Aimée // The Plucky Knitter // Qing Fibre and more!

Printed in the UK // softcover // 128 pages

Here is a preview of the garments.

I think we could have Maker’s Boards next week. They have left the US for the Canadian distributor. Fingers crossed.
