Can’t be bothered

Sometimes you need a lightweight shawl. Like eating in a restaurant that has the air conditioning blasting. Or in the office. This is Joji’s Wispy Shawl (pattern purchased on Joji’s website).

I love one skein shawls… I know they are an easy project to jump on, they allow us to dream big with a small investment (just one skein) and they just make every single yarn of a very special yarn count. 
And while this shawl is not technically a one-skein project, it ALMOST is, and it was born as a one-skein idea to me, so hopefully you will find one special skein to make it!

For this shawl you will need 1 skein of laceweight yarn (I used mohair) and a few yards (50y tops) of a coordinating fingering weight yarn (I used leftovers).

I love designing with negative space. The new popularity of mohair has allowed me to play with light and shadows in my knitting, creating see-through textures and delicate contrasts. 
For Wispy, I used two yarns in a similar shade of dusty pink, but you can use completely different colors, to make the solid striping stand out more.

Dad and Lucy went to our house this morning to help Beth with some chores. Lucy couldn’t be bothered to get out of the truck. She laid in the truck all morning watching the world go by. This is the ramp that dad made to make it easy for her to get in and out. She walks up and down the ramp no problem. She is so used to it that she won’t get out if it’s not there. If you are new to the blog - yes Lucy is lazy but the ramp is because she had ACL surgery. She isn’t supposed to jump (in or out) so the ramp will help with her healing.
