Blanket

The new colours of Noro Tsubame arrived yesterday. I think the colour in the bottom right (#18) would make an amazing ZickZack. I mentioned it a few days ago - here is a link to the project on Ravelry

I’m thinking that the two colours on the left (12 and 13) or the two colours on the right (5 and 18) would make a great Impressionist Shawl (pattern purchased on Ravelry).

This circular blanket was inspired by the Slipstravaganza shawl from the Westknits Mystery Shawl KAL 2020. Choose four colors of DK weight yarn and begin the blanket in the center as you increase toward the border. Slip stitch honeycombs expand into bubble stitches, which are both surprisingly simple to knit. Stop after the bubbles for a small blanket, or continue with more slipped stitches and chevrons for a large statement piece You only have to work with one color at a time throughout the entire project. The large size is perfect for a big bedspread and the small size makes a lovely decorative throw.

I don’t need to tell you that this is a Stephen West design. The pattern just came out and you can purchase it on Stephen’s website.

The pattern is written for 3 CC’s, but the Small Size sample features more colors for a scrappy color pop effect. There are notes throughout the pattern to help you estimate how much yarn you need for each section.
My Nightshift is growing. I’m happy that I went back to the 5mm needle. The texture of the fabric is much better.
I’m late tonight because I wanted to finish the third colour. I would like to keep knitting but I must go to bed. Otherwise it will be just a few more rows and then a few more rows and before I know it it’s Sunday.
