Happy Christmas Eve

Dad and Lucy just left and it’s time to finish my post. We had a good evening of family time. Ham from Denningers for dinner and then dominoes. I’m not sure who won but it wasn’t me.

Meet the Sidestep Brioche Cowl - Freia Fibers has a new pattern that you can purchase on Ravelry

This cozy cowl is made with two-color brioche in alternating gradient yarns and a stepped columnar pattern. Brioche adds an element of squishiness making this an exceptionally soft and cozy cowl when worked in our US Merino minikins. Note: Though this is not a difficult project, some familiarity with brioche is required for this pattern.

The cowl is knit with 4 Minikins from Freia Fibers. Kits will be arriving in the new year - maybe end of January/beginning of February. If you want to start sooner, we have these colours of Minikins in stock. You will have to purchase the pattern and you won’t get the cute box but you can start knitting next week.

The colours are

Lipstick

Orange Crush

Harvest

Wildflower

There will be three more colourways coming. We have a few colours for each cowl in stock but not all four colours. I can put together a combination for you next week if you want to have your own colourway.

The waves are growing. This shawl is so relaxing. One row has pattern. Then you knit three rows. Then four rows of stocking stitch. I think I have two more pattern repeats and then I will be starting the fourth Minikin.
Peggy (a customer, neighbour and family friend) brought Boscoe a new toy this afternoon. He loves it!! Two hours in and it’s still in one piece. I think that is a record.

I should have time to write tomorrow. Christmas Day is normally crazy around here. Church then cleaning the house for dinner of 30-40. This year we will have breakfast with dad and then an afternoon of knitting. Dad and Lucy will come for dinner but we don’t have to clean for them. It’s sad that we won’t be with our family and friends tomorrow but next year we will have a grand Christmas party.
