I am happy with how well the colours turned out. Diana knit every last cm of yarn. She has a new project - I'll share that tomorrow.
Hug Shot is a new pattern coming from Casapinka. This is going to work just like Breathe and Hope. We will be sending Ravelry coupon codes to everyone who purchases a kit. I am putting together combinations and will have them on the website Monday evening at 9pm. The code for your free pattern is to be redeemed June 5-June 7.
Materials
Two colors of fingering weight yarn, 400 yards/100g each
Color A: Solid (hot pink)
Color B: Speckled or Variegated (mine is pale pink speckled)
One US 6/4mm 24”/61 cm circular needle or size needed to attain gauge
Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
Gauge
22 sts/4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, after blocking
The Hug Shot is an asymmetric rectangle (or “boomerang”) shawl that begins at the small end and ends up with a wide border at the opposite end. There are slipped stitches, garter and stockinette making it a fairly easy project.
Here are some combinations I put together this afternoon. Some I can repeat and some will be one of a kind. Of course I will be putting more together over the next few days.
The yarn from Dream in Color is on the way. The fastest way to get it here was by UPS. This is turning into not so fast but we're trying. It should be here late next week or the first week of June. When I add the kits online you can choose these as well and we will ship (or have ready for curbside pickup) as soon as UPS drops them to us.
I've been looking for the perfect color combination for the Hug Shot Shawl for Mom. I know you aren't posting the kits until Monday, but I wanted to tell you I love the dark blue/light blue speckle combo. For me I would get the hot pink/ light pink combo. Your colors are terrific! I can't wait to see what you have on Monday .
