Cast on Orianna and have fun knitting as you play with subtle textures and colour transitions. Sometimes fingering weight yarns are held together with co-ordinating Kidsilk lace strands, but other times they are held singly and alternated to add to the textured effect. Stripes and lace also combine to further showcase the contrasts and textures. The result, a luxe wrap cosy enough for the coolest of days will certainly be a beautiful addition to your wardrobe. Keep your colours muted or play with bold choices; the options are limitless.

I really want to start this but will have to wait for a couple of weeks. I am working on my Throwback. Many people can wear a shorter cardigan but I am not one of them. For mine I am adding length and have finally reached the ribbing. That will be finished over the weekend and I can start on the sleeves Monday morning on the plane to Chicago.

What an amazing gift for a baby. Alex knit Quill (pattern purchased on Ravelry) with Primrose Adelaide - the colour is Glacier. She made the smaller size and used 2.5 skeins.

This wool shawl is worked in the style of a traditional Hap (with updated construction techniques), worn by the working women of Shetland. Hap shawls were made as utilitarian garments to help shield from the harsh weather conditions of the Northern Scottish Isles. Shetland knitters used the “Old Shale”lace frame as a wonderful canvas for color experimentation.

Alex has gone home and I couldn't stop. This time I mixed Rowan Kidsilk Haze with Autumn and Indigo Singles.
