She is making Harlow (pattern purchased on Ravelry) by Andrea Mowry. Alex likes to knit brioche. The main yarn in the top picture is tosh merino light. The main yarn in the bottom picture is Dyed in the Wool from Spincycle Yarns. One hat with two different looks.
When I cast on this hat, my intention was to design my ideal, go-to hat pattern. A perfect jumping off point for beginner briochers to try on their newly acquired skills - this hat is great for any gender or age, and the color possibilities are infinite! We all need a dependable hat pattern right?? This is the pattern I know I can depend on for stash busting, wardrobe enhancing, or a quick gift for someone I love!
I totally forgot to show pictures of the new Hedgehog Kidsilk Lace that arrived in our last order.

Baseline is knit using Kidsilk Lace and Hedgehog Sock.
Triangular garter stitch shawl with an i-cord border. The striping is rather striking, especially using high contrast yarns. The shawl is quite sizeable and in the shlanket territory, but you will be adding width in sections and you can simply choose to stop adding sections at any time for a smaller shawl. Kidsilk Lace adds a wonderful fuzzy texture and a delicate translucent effect.
Birds of a Feather is another very popular pattern on Ravelry for Kidsilk Lace.
Starting at a single point and growing and shifting from ethereal mohair to silky smooth single ply into a piece that begs to be wrapped up in.Lucy is getting lazier and lazier. We joke that in a year she can become a yarn store dog. She'll just lay around - maybe lifting her head to greet you and then back to sleep.
What beautiful yarns! I come here for my yarn fix. ;) Lucy is so sweet. I'm sure she'd love to be a yarn store dog.
