Half Pi

Classic Elite's Web-Letter that came out today features a beautiful shawl. The Palace Half Pi Shawl pattern is free.

Elizabeth Zimmerman's circular Pi Shawl revolutionized the way knitters connect geometry and knitting. There are countless variations using her simple and elegant construction for knitting a circle, including half circular or half Pi shawls. Edith Murphy added stripes and scallops to her half Pi and worked it up in quick knitting Palace. This shawl is sure to keep you warm and cozy – resting in your lap whilst knitting or when wearing the finished product.

This half circle shawl, begins at the center of the top, with rows becoming longer as you work increases down to the scalloped edge.

Palace’s on-trend soft pastel colors show the subtle tweed component of this sister yarn to Chalet and Chateau. The same wonderful chainette construction makes Palace interchangeable with Chalet and Chateau and all three will work together beautifully in stripes and colorblocks.

The website has been updated. Tosh merino dk is available online at the sale price - 20% off.
There are many sweater options for merino dk. Sarah, Lynn and I knit Gnarled Oak a few years ago. The pattern is well written and the cardigan is great. Sarah used merino dk for hers and is still wearing the cardigan.
A basic cardigan that features a stunning, embossed cabled oak leaf motif. Gnarled Oak is knit in one piece from the bottom up. The sleeves are knit separately and joined at the yoke.
You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry...

Another option for merino dk is the Linen Stitch scarf. Here is ours using three colours of merino dk - 1 skein each.

Alex finished an Evolution shawl in one of the new spring colours. It looks awesome!

I've been busy working away on Find Your Fade. I just can't stop. My planned bed time last night was an hour earlier than my actual bed time. I needed to do a few more rows :)
