Mohair Bias Loop meets Silkystones

Shawls, scarves and cowls are still going to be popular through the summer. You can put them on to dress up an outfit. And even if it's hot during the day it can get cool in the evening sitting on a patio or in a restaurant with the air conditioning on full blast.

Churchmouse Yarns took the pattern for their Mohair Bias Loop Scarf and reknit it in Rowan Silkystones.
We always love the cozy feeling of scarves and cowls. For spring, we wanted an accessory piece that was lighter weight and supple, sort of like a favorite silk scarf. We also wanted a wee bit of heft in the yarn for warmth and comfort that accommodates spring’s unpredictable temperatures.

The linen and textured silk of Rowan Silkystones create a fabric that feels comfortable on the neck and is a cooler weight for spring. The natural, glistening palette of colors, reminiscent of wet stones, is flattering against the skin. You can wear this versatile loop long as a spring scarf or doubled as a cowl when there’s a nip in the air. Use 2 skeins of Silkystones and our addendum to adapt the pattern to make this delightful spring version.

I'm totally addicted to American Dream Builders. I have it taped from last night (had to watch the basketball) as well as Master Chef Canada. I made it to the armhole shaping on the first sleeve of my CustomFit cardigan. Knitting here I come.
