And the winner is....

Congratulations to Kim W. You have won a copy of great little gifts to knit. Please email me your information and a book will be mailed (or emailed if you choose a pdf copy) to you.
Thank you to everyone who left their name. Keep watching the blog because you never know when we will have another give away.

Even with the warm temperatures, fall is in the air. My dad changed the flags out front last night. It's hard to believe that October is here.
I love it when the leaves start to change. There are lots of large trees in Ancaster and the colours are amazing right now.

Sparrow Lake is on the way.

This is a custom colourway from Lorna's Laces that is only available from us. We will be receiving on Friday (fingers crossed-if not then on Monday) Sparrow Lake in Solemate (sock yarn), Sportmate (sport weight that Fiona Ellis' Sparrow Lake mittens are knit in), Haymarket (aran weight) and Helen's Lace. The minute it arrives I will be adding it to the website.

My second Windward is finally blocked and all the ends sewn in.

Pattern: Windward by Heidi Kirrmaier
Yarn: 2 skeins of Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Silk Single

The Serenity Silk Singles are One of a Kind colours. They can't be reproduced so no one will have a scarf your colour.
Pattern: Cherry Garcia (free on Ravelry)
Yarn: Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Chunky - 1 skein

I threw some skeins of the Serenity Chunky on the floor to show some of the great colours that we have. Again, these are One of a Kinds.

This yarn was a dream to knit with. Super soft and Neville did an amazing job making our colours.

Two projects are blocked and finished. I'm thinking that means I get to start something new. :)

Would one of those weights of the Sparrow Lake work well on the Windword shawl? I'm not so great interchanging what the pattern calls for. If so, I might have to pop by on Monday to buy some and something possibly for the Guernsey wrap as well.

    Thx,
    Kelly

The Solemate will work great for Windward. You will need 2 skeins but will have about 1/2 a skein left over. We have many different yarns for the Guernsey Wrap.
