New Project Bags

This is another great shawl from Caitlin Hunter. You can purchase the pattern for Camp Wilkerson on Ravelry. Don’t forget the discount on Caitlin’s shawl patterns until the end of the month.
The Camp Wilkerson shawl was inspired by a gorgeous printing of John Muir’s Wilderness Essays (pictured in photos). I was inspired by the colors, lines and of course the words of John Muir to create this huge and cozy wrap. This asymmetrical, arrow-shaped wrap is worked from end to end, starting at the arrow point.
The pattern was designed to utilize most of an entire 250 yard skein of Splendid DK yarn (or DK weight yarn of your choice, as long as the yardage is sufficient) in each of the 4 colors used. Have fun playing with color combinations on the coloring sheet included on the last page of the pattern to create your own signature statement piece. Alternating sections of garter stitch, stockinette and a central eyelet panel keep this knit interesting and relaxing. Suitable for an advanced beginner

We just received a big box of bags from Jessica Hendry. These are handmade in Barrie Ontario and are beautiful. Alex has a small J Hendry problem. I think she has one bag for each of her projects. I’m working on getting them all on the website. I took pictures of some today and will get more pictures over the next few days.
The fabrics are beautiful.

Pretend Trip
We didn’t have anything planned for today. Just walking around and seeing what was going on at the hotels.
A few shots from The Conservatory at The Bellagio.

We went to the Rio to watch Day 1 of the WSOP - World Series of Poker. Playing in the WSOP is on Beth’s bucket list.
A stop at The Cosmopolitan.
We went on the High Roller as well.
Soar 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. With sweeping 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip, the wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one revolution and features 28 spacious cabins to accommodate guests

We fly home tomorrow. 😂
