Chores

There was a bit more tidying today and I found a great shawl that has been in storage for a while.
This is Laura Aylor's Shalimar (pattern purchased on Ravelry).
Lace and cables combine to create beautiful curves in this lace stole. A luxury blend of yarn makes this a truly opulent knit.
Shalimar is knit all in one piece from end to end and finished off with a knotted fringe. This pattern includes lace patterning on both sides of the work and simple cables. Chart and written instructions are provided.
Size is easily modified by working in a different weight and/or adjusting the number of horizontal/vertical repeats. Changes in gauge and/or repeats will affect yardage required.
Our sample was knit with 3 skeins of tosh pashmina. Pashmina is Merino Wool, Silk and Cashmere. YUMMY!

Dad and Lucy visited the store this morning for two chores. Dad made a few boxes and then we put up some fencing in the garden. The deer have already been in the garden and ate some plants. They are coming from the neighbour's and we are hoping this might slow them down.

Dad tied Lucy up while we were doing the fence. As long as she can see dad she is happy.

If the snow fence works we will have a proper fence installed next year.
