Happy New Year

Welcome home Boscoe. Dad and Beth left early to pick him up. Lucy stayed with me. He was good for the car ride home but was ready to get out of the truck by the time they reached our house.

He's had a treat in his crate and played outside.

Now he's sleeping. So far he is the perfect puppy. He hasn't touched yarn or shoes.

The pattern for Hinterland is available on Ravelry. It is on sale for 20% off - I don't know how long this lasts for.
Hinterland is inspired by the northern lights in Norway. This sweater features easy top down and seamless construction, is knit entirely in the round, and options for a rolled or ribbed neckline are included. The colorwork yoke is enjoyable, rhythmic, and engaging to knit and with just 2 colors per row, this pattern is suitable for those who are new to colorwork. The cuffs are my favorite part about this design! We knitters often joke about being stuck on “sleeve island”, but with fun colorwork at the end, it might just motivate you to bang these sleeves out.
This sweater starts at the neckline and is worked seamlessly, top down, and in the round. Short rows are worked to shape the neckline. Next, the colorwork yoke is knit. The body and sleeves are then separated- stitches for the sleeves are transferred to spare needles or waste yarn and underarm stitches are cast on. The body is worked on one circular needle and finished with a ribbed hem. Sleeve stitches are then transferred to knitting needles, the underarm stitches are picked up, and the sleeve is knit top to bottom, finishing with fun colorwork motifs and a rolled cuff.
I'm going to continue my ribbing while Boscoe is sleeping. Who knows how much knitting there will be later tonight with him running around.
