Party of Five

I went to bed early last night but couldn't sleep. I got up at 11 and knit for an hour. There are way too many things running through my head.

Another order is on the way from Spincycle Yarns (and should arrive next week) that will include

Dyed in the Wool

Grumpy Birds x 25 skeins
Heart Sigh x 5 skeins
Pick Your Poison x 15 skeins
Ruination x 15 skeins
Sunset Strip x 5 skeins
Swerve x 10 skeins
The Saddest Place x 10 skeins
Labrodorite x 15 skeins
Labrodorite is a brand new colour - I can't wait to see it in person.
We will have some Dream State in the order as well. For the first time in forever we will have all 6 colours to make Nightshift.
We are going to make kits and they will be on the website.

We have pretty new Party of Five kits from SweetGeorgia Yarns.

Cathy used one Party of Five kit to make the 3 Color Cashmere Cowl.
Cathy and Sarah always take the best photos.
Oh, this is a lovely little pattern to let the days go by while peacefully knitting away…
There are no complex stitches in this cowl, just putting together some stripes, texture and lace as they suit you best.

The pattern calls for 3 colours but you have 5 in the kit. You can see that there is a big section in the middle of rose. That is one skein. Cathy repeated that pattern for the whole skein. On the right side you see that there is striping of two mauves - that takes up both skeins. Then the other two colours (blue and green) are used for stripes and a lace pattern.
Diana used one Party of Five kit to make Rosa Rosae.

Another suggestion is 2 Party of Five kits and a skein of Tough Love Sock to make True Colors.
Let your true colors shine in this eye-catching shawl!
Whether your style is bold, elegant, playful, or simply unique - you’ll find this asymmetrical triangle shawl to be the perfect playground for your personality.
It knits up to a generous size, with a simple lace pattern creating a stunning scalloped effect. Eyelet stripes separate gradient color bands, which become the accent color when the scheme is reversed near the end.
Because I was up late last night I'm super tired this afternoon. Survivor is on at 8 and I'll be in bed just after 9. I hope to sleep without thinking about yarn.
