Mini Skeins

Sarah modelled a few different garments at the Fleece Festival. Her sweater is So Faded (pattern purchased on Ravelry) knit with a Merino Mia Gradient Pack from Prism. I had to make sure it came home with us. Sarah really liked wearing it.

The cowl was knit by Beth and is called the Cara Cowl. It is knit out of Independence from Spincycle Yarns. Right now this is the only colour combination we have. I love it.

The Fino Mini Skein kits were a hit at the Festival. There are seven colourways (number 1 at the top and 7 at the bottom). We only have one kit of 1, 2 and 3 right now. We will have more at the end of November - they are such a bit hit that the supplier is sold out as well.

A pattern suggestion is the 3 Color Cashmere Cowl. I knit this with a String Quintet from Lorna's Laces.
The section at the top is actually the cast on. I used two colours for the first set of stripes, then I threw in a few rows of one of the bottom colours, a third colour for the middle section and then the last two colours for the lace and ending stripes. You can work the colours in whatever order you want.

We have some full skeins of Fino in the store and more are coming later this week if you want to use a mini kit for The Fealdan Shawl (free pattern)
More free patterns include
Rings of Rings Cowl
Charnely Scarf

My Espe is growing. If you are new to lace knitting, this is a great pattern. It's very intuitive once you get going. All you need to know is yarn over, knit two together and ssk.

I found the missing colour for Find Your Fade. Pistachio. It will bridge my blue/turquoise and purple. Now I can get back to this. Probably tomorrow. I'm tired tonight - I was in the store very early this morning to start unpacking. Thankfully Cathy was with me today. She is super efficient at unpacking and the store is back in order.

What is the name of the beautiful shawl in the top photo, on the left. It has a turquoise lace bottom and a striped gray top? Thanks

The shawl is called Lilli Pilli by Ambah O'Brien.
