New Lace

We have a new lace weight from Freia Fibers. From Tina at Freia
After months of testing blends, plies and dyes, we're thrilled to announce that we've overhauled our lace yarn. Now 100% cruelty free merino, this USA spun yarn is even finer in quality and includes an additional 50+ yards in every ball at no extra cost to the customer. This 2-ply yarn plumps up beautifully after blocking, featuring superior stitch definition and a sumptuous drape. Each 75 gram ball measures 650 meters (712 yards), perfect for lacy shawls and scarves.
Fiber: Two-ply 100% US Merino
Care: Hand wash
Ball: 75g/2.64 oz - 651 meters/712 yards
Gauge: 32-40 sts/40-50 rows over 4” on US1 (2.25mm) - US5 (3.75mm) needles
Medialuna (pattern purchased on Ravelry), which we've knit in fingering weight, can also be knit in lace weight.

The Medialuna Shawl takes just a single ball of the Freia hand-painted merino Lace and highlights the subtle sheen, tonal shifts and drape of the yarn.
You can knit the Sonoma Scarf (pattern purchased on Ravelry) with one ball of lace.

The Bias Before and After Scarf from Churchmouse Yarns looks great in Freia Lace. We have copies of the pattern in the store or you can purchase it on Ravelry...

We have Aurora (this ball isn't lace but it shows the colours the best)
 Coho
 Ice Queen
Metropolis

More colours will be coming later this spring.

What a beautiful day. You can't help but smile when you go outside in the sun.
