Color Affection

A few customers have come in the store with a pattern called Color Affection. Nice!! I really like it.

I bought a copy of the pattern for myself and am going to buy another copy for Lynda so that she can get going on a store sample. I will be knitting one myself but am waiting for the new colours of tosh merino light.

Lynda will be using (from left)
Flashdance
Jade
Nebula

Can't wait to see how the colours are going to play out.

You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

The tosh order was picked up in Texas yesterday. It should be arriving in Ancaster on Monday. After work I will be going to unpack the boxes and start bringing yarn back to the store.

This came in an email from Namaste. Hopefully the bags will be here by the end of next week.

I forgot to mention that Mr. Fed Ex came in yesterday with a box from Soak.
-Carrie and Phil. They are great for blocking. Let the garment soak for 10-15 minutes and then dump out the water. I do this on my kitchen counter. Much easier than bending over the bathtub and no worrying if the sink is clean enough. You also don't have to worry that one of your kids is going to come in the kitchen and throw dirty dishes in the sink with your knitting.

More Soak including Celebration and Scentless.
Heel is a rich, nourishing foot cream for feet worthy of hand-knit socks.
Our unique combination of ingredients restores the skin and soothes tired feet. Cucumber extract, vitamin E and the soothing powers of menthol work together to form a luxuriously rich treat for sock-worthy feet. Go ahead. Indulge.
Like Soak, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
Today Mr. UPS brought in a box of Rowan that we needed for the shelves. Cocoon, Kidsilk Haze Stripe and Felted Tweed. Once that box was unpacked, I packed up a box to send to Ann so that she can knit Freya from the Kidsilk Haze Stripe Collection. Normally I would knit a store sample in a different colour than is pictured but I love this colour so much that the sample will look like the picture.

It's time for knitting class. While the ladies are knitting I am going to swatch Rowan's new yarn, summerspun. I'm looking forward to trying the yarn. Visions of sweaters are dancing in my head.

Be very careful with the Colour Affection - it's should be called Colour Obsession because its so addictive - I have done two already and have the yarn for the third ready to go -

Julie,

I can't wait to see Colour Affection knit up in the Tosh - I've just recently queued the pattern myself, and I think it will be fabulous in Madelinetosh!
