Freia

Take two of my post. I had all my pictures in and tried to add information on the new yarns that arrived today. I ended up with a huge mess.

Let's try again.

This afternoon Ms. Canada Post brought in a box from Freia Yarns. Tina has been busy making yarn for me.

There were two yarns in the box.

Rustic is worsted weight, 100% wool yarn blend of Rambouillet, Corriedale and Columbia wools raised in Colorado. It is a single ply yarn.

Here are a few hats in Rustic-the patterns are available in the store.
Twist Hat
Birch
I love having lots of colour in my blog posts!! We had the original Flux colours in stock and now we have the Ombres.

Maple
Cloud
Claret
Denim
Nightshade
Grapevine
Atlantis
Melon
The other yarn is a lace weight. It is a blend of 75% wool from Colorado spun with 25% nylon for added strength. We received the lace weight in all the Ombre shades.

This is the Sonoma Lace Scarf in Grapevine Lace Ombre Handpaint.
One ball of yarn will make the scarf.

Mom and dad are in Myrtle Beach for the next few weeks and a large group of people are arriving tomorrow afternoon. It looks like Hurricane Irene is going to hit land further north of them but they are still prepared. Bottles of water. Flashlights. Propane for the barbecues. A trip to the liquor store. They are ready for Irene.

Beth is yelling at me to hurry up. There is a lot of TV to watch tonight including Big Brother. Time to go and knit.
